Outreach should precede fundraising
Welcome to my first post on Boosting Your Outreach. I invite
you to return periodically for new tips especially designed for NGOs – and small
businesses.
NGOs understandably seek funds to start or continue their
laudable work. However, without a track record of accomplishments and a
“folder” of tearsheets, articles, photos and events, it will be difficult to
attract major contributors. NGOs should develop a comprehensive plan of action
that includes marketing, outreach, accomplishments as well as fundraising.
